Description of El Arbol de Limon

Set amongst the verdant foothills just outside San Juan del Sur with a breathtaking unobstructed vista over the picture perfect Nacoscolo Bay stands the brand new colonial style El Arbol de Limon. Everything within the house is locally crafted, from the timber for the impressive 5m vaulted ceilings reclaimed from a 100yr old reptile farm to the handmade woven banana furniture. As you receive your wake up call from the troupes of howler monkeys and make you way out onto the veranda to see zone tailed hawks or magnificent frigatetails swooping in the thermals close to eye level you are truly in a nature lovers paradise.

The property has been designed to minimize it’s impact on this beautiful environment, specifically engineered ceiling fans and vents negate the need for artificial air conditioning and the hot water is an on-demand system partially using solar power.  All three bedrooms have their own patio with access from each room through French doors, affording privacy even within the house itself and making the house perfect for families or groups of friends alike. All rooms join onto the enormous living room and its comfortable couches, 10 seater dining table and a kitchen spacious enough to accommodate all the budding chefs in your group. Should you decided to dine al fresco, there is a Weber BBQ and traditional wood burning stove for your enjoyment, perfect to cook your recently caught fish over your collected driftwood.

The charming town of San Juan del Sur is a short 25min walk away and Nacoscolo Bay just 3 mins or if you’re feeling lazy then why not just hang by the pool and enjoy the view and Nicaragua’s world famous Flor de Cana rum, with a lime picked from one of the many lime trees surrounding the house.

The property also includes 24/7 security, maid service, laundry room, potable water, cable tv, high speed wifi access and local cell phones.  Additional 1 bedroom apartment may also be available to rent in conjunction with the main house.
